“Thank you for your interest in Oklahoma Teen Challenge Adolescent Centers. We are honored to serve you, and our greatest desire is to see God’s will come to pass for you and your family. Our prayer is that you would be filled with his peace that surpasses all understanding through this difficult season.”
– Admissions Coordinator
The tuition for our Christian boarding schools is partially offset by donations from the community. Therefore, our tuition is much less than other Christian boarding schools for troubled teens. It is less than what it costs us to provide 24/7 care, food, counseling, activities, and education for each student year-round.
There is monthly tuition as well as a one-time non-refundable fee upon enrollment.
This covers your student’s curriculum, our animal therapy program, athletic equipment, and tech fees (for school). If you wish for your student to go optionally on one of our mission trips (only if they have progressed far enough in the program) there will be a nominal travel fee.
Special Note for Oklahoma Residents Only
If you qualify, there are special school tax credits available to you through the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit program.
Our goal, ultimately, is to see God’s love restore your teen to a life of promise and hope. We use tools that bridge the gap between parents and teens to see this carried out. Our programs are truly a place of learning, healing, and restoration through grace.
01. Contact Us
We’ll then discuss our program with you and help you determine if our Christian boarding schools are an appropriate placement for your child. If not, we can refer you to other quality programs that may be more appropriate to meet your girl’s needs.
Please fill out an inquiry form or speak to us by calling 405-500-3705 before moving on to Step 2
02. Complete an Application
An application will be provided to you, which can be emailed, faxed, or mailed back to us. Once our Admissions Department receives an enrollment application, one of our Admissions Coordinators will contact you within 24 hours (weekdays) and answer any enrollment questions you may have. After the application has been received, it will be reviewed by our Admissions staff and Program Director where a decision on whether or not your child is a good fit for our program is made.
We will inform you of our enrollment decision soon after receiving and reviewing your submitted enrollment application. If she is accepted, we will contact you to work out the final items and details for his admission. Once a student is initially accepted, an interview with the student is preferred.
03. Make a Deposit
A non-refundable enrollment fee deposit is required to set an Admission Date. We then will coordinate a good time to bring your student, so we can prepare to receive him or her. An Admission Packet with all the information is then sent to the parent or guardian for completion before admission. This packet includes a list of what to bring from documentation to toiletries. This process typically takes 7-10 days, but it can be accomplished in as little as a few days if needed and if all the proper information is supplied by the parent.
04. Admit Your Child
Once you have enrolled your child you will need to be introduced to all of our policies and procedures. You will need to know about everything your child is going through in her first few weeks and beyond. There are a lot of details that you will need to be aware of and need to be a part of. On the day of admissions, parents accompany their teen to the boarding school, where they meet the staff, have orientation, and complete the paperwork. Opportunities will be given to ask questions and voice concerns.
There are plenty of wonderful accommodations near campus. If you are not able to physically bring your teen, there are professional transportation services we can recommend, however, the parent/guardian is still required to attend. To be successful in making a life change, parents/guardians must be prepared to keep their child in the program until she completes all levels.
During the “in-residence” portion of our Christian boarding schools, parents/guardians are requred to attend three “Parent/Guardian” conferences. These special family events are critical components to your child’s success.
The Admissions Department will remain in contact and available to you by phone and email throughout the intake process. After the admissions process is complete, communication will then shift to the program staff. We understand that this is most likely the most difficult decision that you’ve encountered. You are not alone, and we want you to be supported and know that we will communicate and be with you every step of the way throughout this process.
